Fees of many trust companies are based on the value of a trust’s assets. Sometimes other trust companies do not charge for trustee services where trust assets are invested with an affiliated company. North Point’s fees are based on its activities as trustee, similar as to how a CPA charges and North Point has no affiliations with any investment firms. At the beginning of a relationship, there is agreement with the client as to the time to be incurred to perform the trustee duties. Thereafter, if the time differs, with the client’s approval, the fees are adjusted. Fees are typically billed on a monthly basis. Currently, fees for the trusts for which North Point serves as trustee range from $200 to $2,000 per month.
